The K1 is produced and marketed by K1 Sailing, an experienced team comprising the designer Paul Handley and the sales team at Vandercraft.

Paul Handley has designed successful keelboats and dinghies including the K6 and Mustang 30 keelboats, the very popular RS Feva and Tera dinghies, both ISAF International Classes, and the exciting RS100, also an ISAF International Class. With the K1 he has combined the sailing qualities of a small keelboat with the versatility of a dinghy to create a package which will appeal to keelboat and dinghy sailors alike, whether sailing just for fun or expert racers.

Vandercraft based in Honiton, Devon and managed by Jeff VanderBorght fit out the boats to a high standard and handle sales throughout the UK and Ireland. Vandercraft also sell Phantom and V3000 dinghies as well as producing trailers and Jeff has earned a reputation for a top quality personal service which is offered to all K1 owners.

Rondar Raceboats build the K1 hulls near Bath in the UK. Rondar are well known for building high-quality production dinghies that have won many championships as well as building the K6, the K1’s big sister.

DEM builds the K1 keel and rudder from epoxy in aluminium CNC milled moulds. DEM have an international reputation for building top quality foils.
